Sometimes you feel that you need to have it all together to go to church – not here. We know that life is hard. Why make it harder? Church should be a sanctuary (literally, a “safe place”). Let us be that safe place for you. Jesus said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).
We take the Bible so seriously that we study it daily. Sometimes we wrestle with it, always respecting it and reorienting our lives around God’s word revealed. “Their delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law they meditate day and night” (Psalm 1:2).
Jesus commands us to love as he loves. This is more than being nice; it is a matter of justice. “God has told you, O mortal, what is good, and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice and to love kindness and to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:8). We at First Christian Church of Pasadena put our love and faith into action, serving in our community and beyond, making a difference in the world.
Who doesn’t love sharing good news? The message of God’s love for all people is the best news, and we are excited to share this story with you. In turn, we want to hear your story. You are invited to worship, study, and serve with us as we follow Jesus.
